The goal of the workshop is to introduce participants to High Performance Computing systems as they are defined today. This is done through lectures and tutorial sessions that will allow participants to grasp the concepts that govern the architecture of cluster systems and their usage. In particular we will focus on MPI and graphics card technologies.
Please note that a large number of the sessions are tutorial sessions with problems based on the lectures. For this reason we ask that anyone attending a tutorial session ensure that they also attend the relevant lecture session. Tutorials will be carried out using 'C' as the basic language. If you are not familiar with 'C' or would like to refresh your knowledge then please use the material at the websites below to ensure that we can focus on HPC and not programming during the tutorial sessions.
